Research Projects
Areas of Interest
My area of interest are reconfigurable computing, cognitive radio, signal processing and embedded system. I have extensive experience using Xilinx's FPGA and Xilinx's Dynamic Partial Reconfiguration (DPR) flow. The following projects are currently being developed, either by myself on in collaboration with students or collegues at COSMIAC and IDEAS-TEK.
Linux on OR1K
I am currently working on collaboration with a Senior Design Team at UNM to take the OpenRisc core into an ML507 board, load linux and add a USB core and drivers to the system See more details in the project's site.
Cognitive Radio
I am currently working on adapting some of the GNU radio capabilities into a new DPR based framework. This research is part of a broader effort by IDEAS-TEK. See the project's site for more details.
OR12K with native DPR support
This is a thesis project being developed in coordination with UNM and PUCP, to develop a variant of the OpenRisc core that will support DPR natively. See more details in the project's site.
